Graduate students spend the majority of their time conducting research, in a lab or on a computer. Students work with faculty mentors to address specific questions and overcome existing limitations, thereby driving discovery and innovation. But there's much more to graduate school than classes and research! Students are provided the opportunity to develop a comprehensive skill set to facilitate their success in a multitude of career paths. In addition to Career Development, students can get involved in the campus community and take part in student organizations, leadership opportunities, STEM promotion, and volunteering.
