The Graduate College oversees the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs and supports Career & Professional Development for early career scientists, providing the opportunity for postdocs to participate in monthly seminars, workshops, the annual GREAT Symposium, and the Preparing Future Faculty program. Additionally, trainees can connect with the OKC Innovation District along with OK Catalyst and OU's Tom Love Innovation Hub which support discovery and innovation, tech development, commercialization, and business start-ups. The Graduate College also works in coordination with the Postdoctoral Association to sponsor events along with the Postdoc Paper of the Year competition.
Learn More About the OUHSC Postdoctoral Association »
The National Postdoctoral Association is a non-profit organization providing resources for postdoctoral fellows in the United Sates. The University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center is a sustaining member, so all postdoctoral fellows at OUHSC have access to the "member-only" resources of the web site. The NPA has developed a set of Core Competencies that postdocs should be able to acquire during their training, and other career development programs.
