Hello! Welcome to the PREP BIOs. I’m just another inquisitive soul wandering through the complicated adventure that is Professional Science. I am a nontraditional, first generation student and after getting out of the Marine Corps, I pursued fitness, where I discovered the desire to constantly question, and expand my knowledge with higher education. I graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Degree in Microbiology/Cellular and Molecular Biology and I am interested in various aspects of exercise physiology, cellular development, neuroscience, and immunology. It’s my plan to pursue research in one of these fields in the future. Currently I have the privilege of working in the lab of Dr. Carol Webb, researching interactions of ARID3a and Renal Progenitor Cells, where I have acquired a healthy respect for stem cells and the complicated nature of their development. Outside of the lab, I enjoy the gym, tabletop games, occasional RPGs, camping, shooting, and trips to the farm with my Wife. I am excited to continue expanding my knowledge through the Oklahoma Health Sciences PREP program and look forward to what’s next!
