The Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology offers programs leading to the Master of Science and Doctor of Philosophy degrees. These are research-based programs that provide interdisciplinary education and research opportunities studying the molecular basis of disease. Research projects include control of gene expression, DNA replication and rearrangement, cell migration, signaling mechanisms, membrane biology and membrane trafficking pathways, structural biology and assembly of macromolecular complexes, and glycobiology.
