This workshop will explore the crucial communication skills of active listening and empathy, which will help facilitate understanding and trust in any conversation. You will learn techniques to improve your listening abilities, how to demonstrate empathy in interactions, and how to respond thoughtfully to others’ perspectives, both in personal and professional contexts.
The workshop is part of the Effective Communication Microcredential in the EXPAND Professional Development Program. All students and postdocs are eligible to enroll in this and other microcredential programs. Note that enrollment is not required to attend.
